Application Scientist (Bakery) – Food Ingredients
Description
Our client, a food ingredients manufacturer is hiring for an Application Scientist for their Bakery Category, based in Singapore to support their regional projects.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing customer projects for the Bakery category (biscuits, cakes, crackers, fillings, etc.). You will also need to provide technical support and be involved in customer trials when required. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to support customer technical inquiries pertaining to the company’s ingredient portfolio for key accounts in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand
Requirements
You would need to have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Technology, or a related field, with minimum 8 years of experience in the food industry and have hands-on experience in bakery application. You must also have prior technical service experience supporting customer projects and identifying collaboration opportunities. Understanding of ingredients, formulation and processing methods is a must. To be successful in this role, you have strong interpersonal skills, communicates well, hands-on, independent and a team player. You are also willing to travel up to 30% since this is a regional role.
