Associate, Debt Capital Markets – Major Financial Institution

Our client is a major financial institution with a strong track record in capital markets in SEA and Asia. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to join the Debt Capital Markets team.

Responsibilities

You will support the team in managing capital-raising and advisory mandates throughout the transaction lifecycle, from pitching and origination to successful deal execution. You will conduct fundamental, financial and credit analysis, build detailed financial models and perform due diligence. You will prepare pitch books and marketing materials for client presentations, assist in deal structuring and pricing and coordinate with relevant stakeholders and deal parties. Additionally, you will monitor market trends, pricing updates and events to provide timely insights to clients, while developing strong working relationships with client teams to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Economics/Accountancy, or a related discipline and possess at least three years of investment banking experience, preferably with exposure to Debt Capital Markets. You should have strong accounting knowledge, a solid understanding of credit fundamentals and advanced quantitative and financial modelling capabilities. A genuine interest in financial markets, combined with commercial awareness and technical expertise is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively across teams, internal stakeholders and external deal parties. To succeed in this role, you will be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple transactions under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
