AVP Legal Counsel, Banking

Kerry Consulting is partnering exclusively with our client who is an international corporate bank that has a strong footprint in Asia. This is a newly created headcount within the legal team and they are looking for a financing lawyer to join their closely knitted team. In this role, you will be working on a broad spectrum of financing legal matters.

Responsibilities

As a member within the team, you will be supporting the front office on the negotiations with clients on corporate banking related transactions (e.g project financing, asset financing, bilateral loans etc). You shall be solution oriented and ensure that clients’ needs are well managed both internally and externally and ensuring that any legal risks are being highlighted promptly to parties involved.

As part of the broader legal team, you will also from time to time be involve in adhoc projects/initiatives that help to drive better legal efficiency within the organization. You will up keep the legal documentations for the transactions handled to ensure that they are align with the bank’s standards and also with market’s best practices.

Requirements

You should ideally be a Singapore qualified lawyer with 6 years PQE and have the ability to see through transactions independently. Prior experience in financing transactions will be required for this role.
