AVP/SM, Compliance (Real Estate)
Our client is a leading real estate player with operations and investments across the globe. As the business continues to expand organically, they are looking to grow their Compliance team with a seasoned hire on the AVP/ SM level.

Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Compliance, you will play the role as a deputy Head to oversee and delegate work to the team. You will build and roll out effective compliance strategies and programmes that align with the objectives of the business. This includes designing and refining compliance policies, identifying gaps and weaknesses, raising awareness in the business to suspicious activities and regulatory breach repercussions. You will build strong working relationships with stakeholders across levels to provide regulatory advice as well as providing trainings and guidance to business units. You will keep abreast of the latest regulatory developments to advise the business and mitigate risks.
Qualifications
You graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 7 years of relevant experience in a compliance function. Prior in-house experience in the financial services space is a pre-requisite. As a senior member in the team, you should be equipped with reliable expertise in the compliance function as well as strong team spirit to collaborate in a sizable team. Some leadership experience is ideal as this role will be overseeing and guiding junior members in the team.
