Azure Data Architect, Financial Services
We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of a next-generation enterprise data platform on Azure for a global bank. In this strategic role, you will define the data architecture vision and roadmap, enabling scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions that power analytics, business intelligence, and regulatory reporting across the bank. You will work closely with engineering, governance, and business teams to drive the bank’s cloud data transformation.
Responsibilities:
As the Data Architect, your primary responsibilities will include designing and building a cloud-native data platform on Microsoft Azure, ensuring best practices in data modeling, governance, security, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems, define enterprise data standards, and enable seamless data integration across the organization. You will play a key role in aligning the platform with business priorities, compliance requirements, and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 15 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related fields, with significant hands-on experience in Azure-based data platforms. Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, and Databricks is essential. Exposure to the financial services sector is required, with familiarity in customer data, regulatory, or risk domains. You should have a proven track record of delivering enterprise data solutions in complex environments, along with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is required. Azure certifications and experience with data governance frameworks will be an advantage.
