Description
This is a leading and reputable investment management group whose long-term vision and strategy is to be an active investor and operator in infrastructure, largely within energy transition. All of its operating portfolio companies are closely related to de-carbonization, sustainability and renewable energy. In line with its growth ambitions and vision, they are now on the search for a Chief Executive Officer to lead a newly set up Energy Transition equipment leasing business.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the investment management group, the CEO will drive all energy leasing operations within the company. At the beginning, the CEO needs to formulate and implement the strategic direction for the energy leasing division, including analyzing market trends, identifying new leasing opportunities and goal-setting growth and profitability targets. With his/ her excellent network, the CEO will be able to then develop a high performing team. The CEO will also drive the commercial negotiations over financing and leasing arrangements in the most viable and profitable manner possible. Subsequently, the CEO will be identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and build relationships with OEM, and end users. customer financing programs for leading equipment manufacturers, dealers, distributors and service providers.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a degree holder from a well-rated and reputable university, with the recent 10 years in a leadership capacity within the leasing business. You will have a demonstrated track record in successfully building and leading a leasing business within a VUCA environment. Experience within energy transition leasing including e-mobility, energy storage will have a distinct advantage. You will also be best described as highly ambitious, entrepreneurial and a visionary. Due to the frequent need to engage with significant groups of external stakeholders based in China, fluency in Mandarin is essential.
