Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Resident Engineer to manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure. The role involves ensuring optimal cloud performance, security, and cost-efficiency, while collaborating with teams to support business applications.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficient in cloud architecture, services, and security best practices.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Terraform, Docker, Jenkins) and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Skilled in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with ServiceNow CMDB.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure to support applications.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement security measures and resolve vulnerabilities in cloud systems.
- Perform routine maintenance (updates, patches, backups) and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business needs.
- Monitor cloud usage and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Document cloud configurations and provide reports on performance and costs.
- Willing to work after office hours as needed for critical tasks.
