Data Modeller, Financial Services

We are seeking a Data Modeller to play a key role in shaping the data foundations of a leading financial services organisation. In this role, you will design and refine enterprise data models that enable smarter decision-making across functions.

Responsibilities:

As the Data Modeller, you will be responsible for developing high-quality data models that support strategic and operational objectives across the firm. You will partner with data architects, analysts and engineers to interpret business requirements and translate them into scalable designs that underpin analytical and operational workloads. You will also contribute to the build-out of cloud-based data platforms, optimise data structures for performance and governance, and support the integration of data quality and metadata management practices.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should bring at least 5 years of experience in data modelling or data architecture, ideally within financial services. You should have strong knowledge of key investment and operational data domains, along with proficiency in designing conceptual, logical and physical data models. Hands-on expertise with SQL and the ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets are essential. Experience with industry-standard modelling tools (such as Erwin), as well as cloud data technologies including Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks, is highly desirable. Exposure to data governance or data quality frameworks is advantageous.
