Data Scientist (Vietnam based)
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a leading financial institution in Hanoi, Vietnam. In this role, you will take ownership of the entire data science lifecycle-from problem definition to deployment-collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and scale data-driven solutions that create tangible business value.
You will work alongside product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into high-impact data science products, driving innovation and delivering outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
As an end-to-end Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing machine learning models and data pipelines, deploying models into production, and ensuring continuous performance monitoring and improvement. You will partner with business teams to frame problems, gather and prepare data, and develop solutions that are scalable and sustainable. A strong emphasis will be placed on production-ready solutions that are aligned with business priorities and customer needs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience delivering data science solutions end-to-end in a production environment. Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML model deployment, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure), and MLOps practices are essential. A solid understanding of product thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders are key. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field is required. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
The role is open to overseas based candidates; relocation will be provided.
