    Our client is a well established and highly successful global investment management firm with a deep and expanding presence in Asia. To support its continued growth, there is now a rare opportunity to join them in a newly created Director, Human Resources, Asia role to augment its Human Resource capabilities in Asia.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Global Chief Human Resources Officer, this is a hands on full suite senior HR Generalist role, partnering business heads in Asia. Working closely with head office, you will deliver top notch HR solutions engaging with regional leaders and deal teams, to establish the firm as an employer of choice. This includes recruitment (lateral, graduate, interns) for offices in the region including via developing partnerships with external search partners; delivery of HR operations across the entire employee lifecycle working with location office managers and external service providers e.g. in payroll; supporting business leaders in driving performance management reviews, professional development and employee engagement, as well as managing global employee network events and developing diversity, equity & inclusion content for local offices. Some travel will be expected.

    Requirements

    You are degree qualified and an accomplished senior HR generalist with experience covering Asia gained in top global firms in financial services or professional services. You have a demonstrated track record of partnership with business leaders and collaboration with colleagues in the region and global headquarters in a highly professional environment. You possess strong HR advisory capabilities and is yet highly hands on, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong presentation, communication and senior stakeholder management skills will be essential. As China is a key market to be covered in this portfolio requiring close collaboration with local colleagues, fluency in Mandarin is required.
