Director/ MD – Investor Relations – Major Asset Manager

Responsibilities
This newly created role offers the opportunity to originate and deepen long‑term partnerships with institutional investors, family offices and asset allocators across Asia, working closely with senior leadership and investment teams to drive fundraising and the firm’s next phase of growth. The successful hire will develop and execute the Asia investor strategy, manage a high‑quality pipeline and secure new mandates across alternatives and private market strategies including private equity, private credit, buyouts, growth, secondaries and co‑investments. The successful candidate will lead client engagement, influence product positioning and deliver effective end‑to‑end investor coverage. Representing the firm at industry conferences and seminars, you will build brand awareness. Additionally, you will provide market intelligence on the Asia investor landscape, including allocator trends, capital flows and competitor activity, contributing to the firm’s investment and business strategy.

Requirements
The ideal candidate has outstanding academic credentials and at least 15 years of relevant experience in a fund raising role, ideally at an investment firm/asset manager, with a strong focus on institutional and family office investors in Asia. The successful candidate has a proven record of leading large‑scale capital raises and securing strategic mandates across private markets, supported by long‑standing relationships with senior allocator decision‑makers. Fluency across various alternative strategies is essential, with the credibility to engage CIOs and allocators as a peer on portfolio construction, performance attribution and governance. This role is ideal for a commercially minded, entrepreneurial leader who operates comfortably at senior levels, drives outcomes and partners effectively with investment and internal stakeholders across functions.
