Director, Project Accounting (12 months contract)

Our client is a major financial institution with established presence in the region. It is seeking to hire a Director, Project Accounting (12-months contract) in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

You will lead the development and roll out of Project Accounting and Reporting to support a portfolio of high-value strategic investments. You will play a critical role in shaping our cost management capability, driving standardisation and efficiency across the entire group with an external benchmarking context. This position requires strong stakeholder management skills and a strategic mindset.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with strong finance and cost management expertise, and experience leading project finance functions. Financial services experience is an added advantage. This Asia-focused role requires excellent stakeholder management and team leadership, along with a strategic, analytical, and solution-driven mindset and comfort working with complex systems and reporting tools.
