    Description
    This is a leading power and renewable energy conglomerate with an impressive pipeline of projects across Asia Pacific. China and parts of Southeast Asia have been identified as key growth markets for the conglomerate, and as a result, there is now a need for a Project Finance Director to lead financing activities for power and renewable energy projects in these markets.

    Role
    Reporting directly to the Group Treasurer, the Project Finance Director will play a strategic role in areas of treasury and corporate finance activities, including project financing, M&A support, corporate restructuring, long term financing via debt financing for projects in North, Southeast Asia. This is a highly critical and visible role as the Company is asset and capital intensive, with long term growth plans for asset acquisition and construction within the areas of Power, Renewable Energy. He/ She will structure and execute debt financing plans, as well as negotiate loan term sheet and agreements with financial institutions. For existing debt agreements, the Project Finance Director will ensure the continuous adherence and monitoring of debt and loan covenants. Travel is expected due to the frequent need to engage with external stakeholders including banks, financial institutions and JV partners.

    Requirements
    The successful candidate must have a professional degree in Finance or Accountancy with minimum 10-12 years of experience in project financing. Project Finance track record in China, particularly those with the ability to establish new banking relations with banks or financial institutions supporting Chinese based projects, will have a distinct advantage. It is critical that you are adept in financial modelling with debt financing exposure. Due to the need to engage with both internal and external stakeholders based in North Asia, fluency in Mandarin is essential for the role.
