Major Financial Institution – Director, Trade & Commodity Finance

Our client is a Major Financial Institution with a long-standing presence in Asia. They are looking to hire an experienced banker to join their TCF team.

Responsibilities

An experienced banker, you will manage a portfolio of clients and deepen relationships with existing TCF clients, predominantly for the Metals sector.  As a trusted advisor to clients, you will pro-actively cross sell products and bespoke financing solution, increasing  clients’ facility utilization optimization. You will collaborate with product partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth provision of financing solutions. An industry expert, you keep abreast of trends in the sector, maintaining the bank’s competitiveness and staying ahead of competition. You will continue to acquire new accounts and deepen the bank’s wallet share of existing clients through account strategy planning and connecting the dots for business opportunities.

Requirements

You have a Degree from a recognized University and 10 – 15 years of relevant experience, including experience as a relationship manager covering TCF clients. You are well versed with various commodity sectors, including metals & mining companies in SEA. You are familiar with structured trade financing, have the ability to unlock business opportunities and the drive to grow a business through cross functional collaboration across teams. Your strong appreciation of risk management will enable you to balance relationship considerations with credit monitoring which safeguards the bank.
