Backed by a reputable private equity firm, this is an Asian Chemicals Distribution Group best described as a veteran and trust-worthy player in the industry. With a steady and diverse customer base in industries ranging from industrial coatings, the Company boasts customers ranging from industrials, energy, food science, and pharmaceutical. Due to exciting growth plans, the Group is now ready to hire a Group CFO based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to further those ambitions.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO, the Group CFO will play a critical role as a financial steward of the Group. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Group CFO will manage financial reporting and analysis to provide insights into the Group’s Financial performance, and accordingly make strategic decisions that will optimize the Group’s performance and capture market share. The Group CFO will also lend M&A support and subsequently, drive the success of activities post-acquisition and integration. He/ She will look to establish a best-in-class financial reporting system, and also develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure group-wide alignment and best practices. The Group CFO is expected to manage relationships with banks, investors and other stakeholders to secure finance and the financial health of the Group. He/ She will also provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, including coaching and developing finance team members across APAC.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a degree qualified CA/CPA and have between 15-20 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in the Chemicals distribution sector, coupled with an Asia Pacific remit with significant experience in Malaysia is a must. You are enterprising, operationally hands on, and an absolute go-getter. You must have the track record of supporting M&A activities, as well as post M&A integration activities. Adept in finance business partnering, you are a change agent familiar with driving transformation initiatives across the Group.
