Group Head of Audit – Major Financial Institution (Malaysia-based)

Our client is a major financial institution with established presence in the region. It is seeking to recruit a highly capable Group Head of Audit to be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

You will design audit framework, standards and policies for the group. Managing a large team, you will be responsible for planning, supervising and executing the audit, risk assessment and special reviews for group audit operations which include wealth management, investment banking, equity research and structured products. You will provide an independent assessment of the activities and their conformity of operations control, compliance and corporate procedures. You will prepare and review audit reports, liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities, and communicate audit issues to the senior management and Audit Committee.

Requirements

Degree qualified, you will have a proven track record leading an audit function in a major bank or financial institution. You must have exposure to banking, securities, investment banking, global markets and/or research. With excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, you are credible, mature, driven and relationship builder.
