As a key player in the industry, they are dedicated to expanding their agency network and are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Agency Business Development Manager to lead this growth.

    Job Overview:

    In this role, the Agency Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the agency network, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing agency partners. This position requires a strategic thinker with extensive business development experience and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.

    Responsibilities:

    The Agency Business Development Manager will be tasked with identifying and targeting new agency partners to expand the distribution network. They will develop strategies to acquire and onboard new agencies while also building and maintaining strong relationships with existing agency partners. As the primary point of contact for these agencies, they will address partner needs and concerns, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.

    The role will also involve conducting market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape, using these insights to shape business development strategies. Additionally, the manager will collaborate closely with senior management to develop and implement business development plans, setting clear goals for agency growth and performance.

    A significant part of the role will include providing training and support to new and existing agencies, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge. The manager will also monitor and analyze agency performance, tracking key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.

    Collaboration with internal teams, such as marketing, underwriting, and operations, will be crucial to ensure alignment and support for agency growth initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the insurance industry, with a proven record of successfully acquiring and managing agency relationships. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

    A deep understanding of the insurance industry, including market trends, regulatory environment, and competitive dynamics, is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred, and professional certifications or licenses in insurance are a plus. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, results-oriented, and have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
