Responsibilities
As the Head of Credit Risk, you will be responsible for overseeing the Bank’s credit risk strategy and ensuring that all credit decisions are aligned with the Bank’s policies and overall risk appetite. You will lead a team of credit risk professionals and be involved in the design and implementation of credit risk frameworks and processes that support the Bank’s growth, while minimizing potential risks. Your role will require close collaboration with senior management and various internal departments to review complex credit proposals, including margin lending, structured credit products, and bespoke lending solutions for high-net-worth clients.
You will be the key decision-maker in approving credit requests, ensuring that they are properly structured, compliant, and within acceptable risk parameters. Additionally, you will advise senior leadership on the overall credit risk profile of the Bank, providing insight into portfolio performance, credit exposures, and emerging risks. Regular reporting on credit risk performance will be part of your remit, ensuring that credit risk is adequately monitored and managed across the business.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in credit risk management, preferably in a private banking or wealth management environment, with a strong track record of managing sophisticated credit portfolios and underwriting complex credit proposals. You will have a thorough understanding of credit risk policies, financial analysis, and the regulatory landscape, and will be well-versed in balancing risk with business growth.
