    Our client is an established and successful tech company with fast growing international presence, and currently undergoing strategic business transformation. It is now seeking a dynamic and highly experienced employment law professional to join them, based in Singapore, Hong Kong or China.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this is an exciting role leading the development and management of the global employment law and employee relations function covering its businesses globally.  As a strategic advisor, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel on global labour and employment law, as well as solutions to employee relations matters to the leadership team.  Leading a team and working with external counsels, you will proactively address complex legal and regulatory challenges, crafting innovative strategies to navigate international employment law landscapes. You will also drive initiatives to modernize and enhance the efficiency of the legal operating framework, integrating innovative tools and processes to meet global employment needs.

    Requirements

    You are a degree qualified legal professional with employment law experience, and a strong focus on global employment law issues and multi-jurisdictional compliance. You have expertise in advising on international labour relations, ideally including EU and/or US regulations, works councils, collective consultations, and workforce compliance.  You possess strong business acumen with the ability to offer practical, strategic advice in dynamic environments; excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with a results-driven mindset. You have proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams operating in different locations. As China is a key market to be covered in this portfolio requiring close collaboration with local colleagues, fluency in Mandarin is required.
