Head of Logistics, Asia Pacific (Specialty Chemicals)

Description

Our client, a leading global specialty chemicals company, is seeking a high-calibre logistics professional to take on a key regional leadership role based in Singapore. We are ideally looking for someone who is both strategic and hands-on-able to steer the logistics function for Asia Pacific while staying closely connected to operational execution.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of APAC, the successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end regional logistics scope, including warehousing, transportation, freight management, and shipment execution across multiple countries. Working closely with regional supply chain leadership, this individual will drive logistics strategies that enhance service levels, optimise cost structures, and build resilience across the supply chain.

We are looking for a leader who combines strategic vision with deep operational experience-someone who is analytical, forward-thinking, and confident in using data to improve performance and drive continuous improvement. The role requires someone equally comfortable shaping long-term direction and engaging with the day-to-day realities of managing teams, solving problems, and strengthening 3PL relationships across the region.

Requirements

Given the nature of the business, prior experience in the chemical industry or adjacent sectors-such as industrial manufacturing, paints & coatings, or specialty materials-is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the logistics and regulatory considerations involved in handling regulated or hazardous materials will be important to succeed in this environment.
