    Description

    With its ambitious plans of doubling the APAC business in the next 5 years, we are partnering our client who is a market leader in their industry in hiring for a Head of Operations role with APAC wide responsibilities (excluding India). The role can be based in either Singapore or China.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Global Head of Operations and working closely with the APAC President, this role will have overall responsibility for providing Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Quality and Facilities oversight for the Business Unit across APAC. You will be responsible for multiple plants across the region, leading the Operations function to deliver products to customers on time, applying defined product quality requirements while optimizing production costs.

    You will be leading the operations functional strategy design and execution, while providing direction across all Operations sub-functions within the region to drive alignment and improve operational visibility. The position will require you to drive organizational synergy and process integration initiatives (Operations Excellence) which reduce cycle times, increase organizational agility, improve on time delivery and quality of products and optimize cost savings opportunities.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline, with a MBA or Master’s Degree in a Technical field preferred. You should have 20+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong background in supply chain, quality and/or materials management, including exposure to M&A projects, organizational change, operational restructuring, business process redesign, systems implementations and enterprise risk for complex organizations. You should have over 10 years of progressive experience in people management, with expertise in world class manufacturing concepts (LEAN), product industrialization, change management, and strong understanding of business process/system redesign as well as financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX).
