Head of Project Finance, Asia – Major Financial Institution

Our client is a foreign financial institution with a robust presence in Asia. There is an exciting opportunity to join the firm as Head of Project Finance. This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Global Head of Project Finance, the successful candidate is responsible for driving and implementing the overall strategy and direction of the Bank’s project finance business in Asia. This includes overseeing a team and supporting it in all aspects of project finance activities including origination, underwriting, structuring, term negotiations, due diligence, syndication, transaction and portfolio management. You will work closely with stakeholders across functions and countries to achieve business plans, revenue and profitability targets. Your in-depth knowledge of current market and competitive trends in the project finance space in various jurisdictions in Asia will enable you to collaborate with risk teams and advise HQ on the landscape in Asia.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has more than 15 years of project finance experience and a successful track record executing and completing transactions in Asia. You have very good deal experience in power, infrastructure, PPP, renewable energy and are thoroughly familiar with SEA, South Asia and Australia. Your strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to  maintain a collaborative work environment and facilitate communication flow within the team, across  functions and senior management in different locations. You are strategic, positive-minded, solutions oriented and thrive on supporting the originators and transactors in evaluating transactions, facilitating the process with the eventual goal of growing a profitable business.
