Interim Data Governance Lead

Duration – 12-Month Contract (Extendable)

Our client, a major organisation enhancing its enterprise data capabilities, is seeking an Interim Data Governance Lead to support data quality, stewardship, lineage, and governance framework development. This role offers the opportunity to influence data strategy across multiple business and technology domains.

As the Data Governance Lead, you will drive governance standards, improve data transparency, and partner with cross-functional teams to uplift data maturity across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

– Strengthen and implement enterprise data governance policies and operating models
– Lead data quality initiatives and stewardship programmes
– Develop data lineage, metadata documentation, and data transparency frameworks
– Partner with business, technology, and compliance teams to drive adoption

Ideal Profile

– Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related domains
– Strong understanding of data platforms, lineage tools, and governance frameworks
– Excellent stakeholder management and transformation delivery experience
– Ability to influence decision-making across complex organisations
