Manager- Data Scientist – Energy Sector (Generative AI)

This energy company well-positioned to achieve its growth plans for the region. The firm has a continuous focus in digital and over the years have built a complete data science hub within the business. Given the focus in generative AI, the team is seeking data scientist to be part of this high performing team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Data Science and Analytics, the individuals will work closely with across business  represent PoCs to the stakeholders etc.  The team aims to harness alternative data (geo-spatial, social media, transaction data etc) by building and deploying Machine Learning/AI techniques to assist with key trading decisions. This role gives a wonderful opportunity to data scientists who desire to be closer to business and wish to make an impact.

Requirements

This candidate should have MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science with hands-on commercial experience (exposure to trading) . He or she should have at least 5+ years’ experience with analytical programming, including libraries for cleaning, reshaping, exploring and visualizing data (e.g. Python, R, Spark, D3). Strong communication is a must for this role.
