Description
This is a leading US conglomerate with diversified businesses and a global presence in more than 60 countries. Its commodity trading arm is actively trading in oil and petrochemical. An opportunity has arisen for a Product Control / Middle Office Risk Analyst to join the trading team.
Role
Reporting to the lead, the Product Control / Middle Office Risk Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of P&L and exposure reconciliation on a daily basis. He / She will also ensure that the curves are reasonably marked and monitor VAR utilisation. He / She will be involved developing new tools to aid reporting and analysis and ensure that all control policies are in place. The role will also be involved in supporting both the Singapore and China desks.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a Mathematics/Finance/Business discipline with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in risk management or product control in a trading environment is necessary. You will be detailed, organised, motivate and is an excellent team player. Good communication skill and having an attitude to challenge status quo will be highly desirable.
