R&D Scientist (Enzyme Engineering) – Based in Singapore

Description

Our client, a food company is hiring for an R&D Scientist for their Enzyme Engineering team, based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing research projects related to engineering enzymes with more superior properties or functionality to replace traditional chemical processes. This requires having a good understanding of the structural biology of proteins or enzymes, ability to engineer and optimize enzymes and develop a high-throughput screening platform for screening them.

Requirements

You must have a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Biochemistry or a related field. Prior research experience in protein or enzyme modification is required. Newly graduated PhD holders with the relevant background are welcome to apply. To be successful in this role, you are independent, driven, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You are also a good communicator and work well in a team.
