    Our client is a renowned manufacturer of flavor and food ingredients, dedicated to providing innovative solutions that enhance the taste and quality of food and beverage products worldwide. As they continue to expand their presence in the South-East Asia and South Asia regions, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Commercial Director for their Beverage category business. Location of this role can be flexible, and the right talent can be based in Singapore, Indonesia, or Thailand.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting directly to the Regional Head of the Beverage category, the Regional Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion of their beverage category business across assigned South-East Asia and South Asia markets. Focused primarily on their flavor portfolio, including sweet flavors, compounds, powder blends, and other food ingredients, this role will lead the sales team in spearheading business development efforts, fostering customer relationships, and capitalizing on market opportunities.

    Below are some of the key responsibilities:

    1. Business Development: Drive the growth of the Beverage category business in the region by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, and cultivating strategic partnerships.
    2. Sales Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the local sales teams, setting clear targets and objectives, and motivating team members to achieve sales targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.
    3. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for market penetration and differentiation.
    4. Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, distributors, and industry partners, to drive collaboration and maximize sales opportunities.
    5. Team Development: Lead and manage the sales team, providing coaching, training, and support to enhance their skills and capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
    6. Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities by collaborating closely with Business Managers, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Flavor Creation, and Application teams.
    7. Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market share, and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

    Requirements

    You will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science or related field, with a minimum of 15 years of regional experience in the Flavors or Food Ingredients industry, with a proven track record of success in sales and business development roles. You should have strong commercial acumen and a passion for driving sales growth and exceeding targets, with extensive network and relationships within the beverage industry across Asia markets, with a focus on South-East Asia and South Asia regions. We are seeking for a talent with excellent leadership and team development capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential. A strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them will be required, with strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels critical traits to have.
