Regional Cyber Security Manager (APAC)
Our client, a Global MNC and Industry leader in their field of specialty, has recently created a new Regional Cyber Security Manager headcount in Singapore to oversee the APAC region. You will be part of a team of 2 security members in Singapore, supporting security-related projects and initiatives across the APAC countries, with the purpose to elevate the current level of security maturity for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
Being based in the regional hub of Singapore, you will learn about the group and head office’s security policies, processes and standards, which would allow you to collaborate with the team at the group level as well as the regional IT team to ensure alignment of strategy, goals and processes.
You will assess existing and potential security and technology risks within the firm’s current systems as well as external tools and applications, proposing recommendation to mitigate and remediate those risks by implementing necessary controls.
This role will be both operational and GRC (governance, risk and compliance) focused. On the operational front, you will help maintain and secure the network and infrastructure of the firm, managing areas such as incident management, security monitoring and vulnerability management/assessment. In additiion, you will also be overseeing data protection and crisis management.
You will ensure that the regional office adhere to regulatory requirements in the respective countries that they operate it, alongside the group office’s policies and processes.
Requirements:
You should ideally be Degree qualified with minimally 7 years of experience in a similar role, with recent exposure in supporting security operations and security tools implementation. Understanding of security regulations within the APAC region, in addition to experience working in a global or regional role would be beneficial.
