Description
This is an established commodities trading firm To support its ongoing operations and cover a maternity leave, the firm is hiring a Risk Analyst for a 1-year contract. This hands-on role provides broad exposure to P&L reporting, financial controls, and derivatives operations

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Market Risk Manager, you will be responsible for daily and monthly P&L reporting, price validation, and variance analysis. You will collaborate closely with the front office, trade operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate transaction reporting and reconciliations. Additionally, you will handle derivatives settlement, manage broker accounts, and prepare month-end journals.

Requirements
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a commodity trading environment. Familiarity with physical trading (e.g., metals, oil, gas, agriculture) is preferred. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working with numerical data are essential.
