Description
This is a global commodities trading firm with strong infrastructure, diverse product coverage, and an excellent track record of growth. As part of continued investment into its APAC operations, it is now partnering with Kerry Consulting to hire a high calibre Risk Officer to join its Singapore office.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Head of Risk (APAC), the Risk Officer will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely daily P&L and exposure reporting, providing key insights and analytics to traders and management. The successful candidate will reconcile exposures and derivatives positions, assess valuation curves, monitor VaR usage, and ensure high data integrity in the ETRM system. The role also requires strong cross-functional collaboration with traders, operations, trade support and accounting teams.

Additional responsibilities include onboarding new products, enhancing risk frameworks, improving reporting processes, and supporting risk-related projects. This role offers an excellent platform for individuals seeking to develop broader risk oversight in a fast-paced and commercial trading environment.

Requirements
You are degree-qualified in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accountancy, or related disciplines, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a commodities trading environment, ideally across both physical and derivatives markets. You possess strong Excel skills, with bonus points for VBA, Python, or Power BI. A working proficiency in Chinese is strongly preferred due to regular engagement with stakeholders across the region.

You are detail-oriented, commercially aware, and thrive under pressure. You enjoy working independently while being part of a high-performing team and are keen to contribute to continuous improvements in controls and processes.
