Kerry Consulting is partnering with a large, complex enterprise organisation embarking on a major SAP transformation journey. We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect to play a critical role in shaping and governing the end-to-end SAP architecture across S/4HANA RISE and SuccessFactors, with a strong focus on Clean Core principles, fit-to-standard adoption, and long-term architectural integrity.
This is a senior, high-impact contract role suited to architects who operate confidently at both strategic and delivery governance levels, and who are comfortable challenging System Integrators to ensure business-led, future-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end SAP solution architecture across S/4HANA RISE and SuccessFactors, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s target operating model, enterprise architecture standards, and long-term digital roadmap – not a like-for-like reimplementation of legacy SAP ECC.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions, balancing functional fit, extensibility, controls, and reporting needs.
- Act as the architectural authority, reviewing, challenging, and approving System Integrator designs and proposals to ensure solutions deliver true business capabilities and outcomes.
- Drive a Clean Core strategy, maximising standardisation and fit-to-standard adoption while defining appropriate extensibility using in-app extensibility and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Establish and govern architectural design decisions, maintaining a structured architecture decision log capturing options, rationale, deviations, and downstream impacts.
- Define the enterprise reporting and analytics architecture, ensuring SAP data models support regulatory reporting, management insights, and integration with central data platforms.
- Review and govern data migration strategy, including data scope, quality rules, validation controls, reconciliation processes, and cutover readiness.
- Define and govern the integration architecture across S/4HANA RISE, SuccessFactors, workforce rostering solutions, and other third-party systems, ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable integrations aligned with enterprise architecture governance.
- Partner closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on architectural trade-offs across value, risk, cost, and sustainability.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 4 years focused on S/4HANA and SuccessFactors implementations in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on understanding of SAP Activate, fit-to-standard delivery, and Clean Core principles.
- Solid grounding in enterprise architecture governance, risk management, controls, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration patterns and tools (e.g. SAP CPI / Integration Suite) and SAP Fiori configuration and extensibility.
- Proven track record of governing System Integrators and influencing senior stakeholders through clear architectural direction and decision-making.
- SAP and/or enterprise architecture certifications (e.g. S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, BTP, TOGAF) are advantageous.
