Senior Analytical Scientist (Flavours) – based in Singapore

Our client, a renowned flavours manufacturer is looking for a Senior Analytical Scientist to join their R&D team in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for conducting instrumental analysis of flavours, raw materials and food using Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to support flavour creation projects in the Southeast Asia region. This involves method development, data analysis and also maintenance of lab equipment. You will work in close collaboration to support the flavourists and Quality Control team.
Requirements
Minimally, you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science or a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in flavour or fragrance analysis. You must be competent in using GC, GC-MS and GC-FID. We are also open to more experienced candidates who are ready to step up to a people management role, but still enjoy the hands-on flavour analysis work. To be successful in this role, you are independent, has strong analytical chemistry knowledge and hands-on in troubleshooting and performing instrumental analysis.
