Senior Counsel – Banking, 8+PQE

A seasoned banking and finance lawyer is sought for a senior legal role supporting a wide range of financing matters. The successful candidate will provide legal support across a wide range of financing matters, including syndicated loans, bilateral credit facilities, project financing, and treasury-related transactions. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership position within the legal function.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal aspects of financing transactions, including loan agreements, guarantees, and trade finance instruments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex financing documentation.
• Support project financing and corporate funding initiatives.
• Partner with Treasury and Finance teams on banking relationships and debt compliance.
• Ensure alignment with internal governance, risk, and compliance policies.
• Manage external legal counsel and cross-border legal issues.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in banking and finance.

Requirements

• Law degree from a reputable institution; qualified in a common law jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation and transaction structuring.
• Excellent command of English; additional language skills (Mandarin/Bahasa Indonesia) a plus.
• Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and analytical skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
