    Description

    This is a fast-growing energy trading group with an international presence and ambitious growth plans in Asia. In line with those growth plans, there is now a need to hire an experience physical Crude Oil Trader

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Trading Manager, the Senior Crude Trader is required to drive the physical trading activities and optimize profitability for the organization. Deep understanding of the crude oil market dynamics will play a vital role in developing and executing effective trading strategies. The Senior Crude Trader will be responsible for staying abreast of market trends, supply-demand factors, and geopolitical influences. Additionally, building, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, refiners, brokers, and other industry participants, will be integral to ensuring successful trade execution and contributing to business growth. Ability to navigate and mitigate risks will be vital in this role. Implementing risk management strategies and identifying profitable trading opportunities will be essential to safeguard the company from market volatility and disruptions. Collaboration will be central as the Senior Crude Trader will have to work closely with internal teams, including logistics, operations, finance, and senior management. This collaborative approach will help ensure seamless execution and operational efficiency. Insights and analyses of the market will be instrumental in providing valuable information to senior management for informed decision-making and strategic planning.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in physical trading within the oil and gas sector. The Senior Crude Trader is expected to demonstrate a proven history of cultivating and sustaining strong connections with buyers and suppliers in the region. An entrepreneurial mindset is of great significance. Proficiency and familiarity with PG Crude grades are strongly favoured.
