Senior Data Engineer, Global Energy Firm

We are partnering an established Global Energy Firm in a search to identify a seasoned Senior Data Engineer as part of the Data and Analytics team to enable data driven commercial decision-making, risk management and operations.

Responsibilities

You will be leading a small team of Data Engineers, primarily based in Singapore, responsible for platform administration, operational support, small change and release management. You will be collaborating with multiple stakeholders on backlog grooming and sprint planning to deliver data solutions.

Requirements

You should have at least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong understanding of Big Data, MapReduce, Spark. You should be experienced in Azure, modern cloud-based data architectures and have strong coding experience in Python and SQL. You should be equipped with a strong knowledge in Databricks or equivalent experience in Spark and be able to deliver with AGILE methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban. You should have a strong academic background with a degree, equivalent professional qualification, or relevant experience. Being collaborative, organized and having good communication skills will be greatly appreciated.
