This is a global energy and commodities trading group with a growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of continued investment into its trading business, the firm is partnering with Kerry Consulting to appoint a high-calibre Senior Risk Analyst to join its Singapore team. This role offers strong exposure to a wide range of commodities including power, coal, metals, and oil, and involves close collaboration with traders in Asia and risk colleagues globally.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Asia Risk Team Lead, the Senior Risk Analyst will be responsible for managing daily P&L and market risk reporting, including exposure analysis, mark-to-market validation, and providing commentary on trading results. The role partners closely with traders based in Asia and collaborates with global counterparts in Europe to ensure consistency and alignment in reporting standards. In addition to daily reporting responsibilities, the analyst will support risk assessments of new products or strategies, contribute to analytical projects and process enhancements, and liaise with the technical risk team in Europe to interpret and explain risk models and results.

Requirements
The successful candidate holds a degree in a quantitative, finance or technical discipline, with 3 to 6 years of experience in a commodities trading environment. A strong foundation in daily P&L and market risk reporting is required, along with familiarity in handling traded products and understanding valuation principles. Proficiency in SQL and Python is highly preferred, and the ability to operate with independence and initiative is essential. The ideal individual is analytical, commercially minded, and confident when interacting with trading teams. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced setting are key traits for this role.
