Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Role Overview:
- Develop a deep understanding of application components and their development processes to drive improvements in product scalability, stability, and performance.
- Oversee the setup, management, and maintenance of products, middleware, big-data applications, and services.
- Perform routine and emergency deployments, fine-tune performance, and address troubleshooting needs.
- Create and implement automation solutions for various workflows.
- Manage and optimize capacity and resources.
- Conduct comprehensive stress tests to enhance application performance and remove redundancies.
- Maintain detailed operational documentation on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Extensive experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Strong understanding of Computer Networks (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS) and operating systems.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Bash, Python, or Go.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to excel in high-pressure situations.
- A strong sense of responsibility and passion for your work.
- Quick to learn and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Detail-oriented, cautious, and methodical in approach.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Zabbix, or Grafana.
- Knowledge of load balancing tools like LVS, Nginx, Openresty, or HAProxy.
- Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kafka and Codis.
