Southeast Asia CFO (Based in Vietnam) – Power and Energy Conglomerate
Description
This is a leading power and energy conglomerate with a significant regional presence, with an impressive portfolio of assets and clientele. The Group has charted out ambitious energy transition and growth plans, particularly within the Thailand and Vietnam markets. As a result, the Company is now on the search for a Southeast Asia CFO to be based in Vietnam. As part of onboarding and integration, the CFO will be first based in the APAC regional office in Singapore for under a year, before relocating.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Southeast Asia CEO and the Global CFO, the Southeast Asia CFO will support the executive team in strategic planning, joint-venture management and other corporate development initiatives in Vietnam and Thailand for the Group. He/ She will also be providing leadership to the finance team, ensuring the integrity of all financial information including statutory and legal reporting as well as establishing key performance management measures to drive commercial and operational excellence. Working closely with the M&A team, the CFO will also be supporting feasibility studies, project opportunity assessment, and support post-merger integration activities. As this is a finance leadership role, you will lead, guide and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals based in the locations.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant and degree qualified in Accountancy or an equivalent finance discipline with at least 15 years’ experience demonstrated track record gained in finance leadership roles in the Southeast Asia markets including Thailand, Vietnam. Experience in heavy infrastructure, joint-ventures and investments will be viewed upon favorably. You will be described as commercially astute and a proven leader with the ability to build and develop teams.
