Our client is a highly successful commodities trading company with a strong global footprint and an expanding presence in Asia. As the business continues to scale, there is now a rare opportunity for a seasoned recruiter to take ownership of building the talent acquisition function in Kuala Lumpur.

      Position Overview

As the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and driving the recruitment strategy for Southeast Asia, with a primary focus on Singapore and Malaysia. This role is pivotal in building a best-in-class hiring process, attracting top talent, and aligning recruitment efforts with the company’s ambitious growth plans.

      Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Head of HR, the role entails spearheading recruitment activities across Southeast Asia, particularly in Singapore and Malaysia. You will work closely with hiring managers to identify key talent needs, implement efficient end-to-end hiring processes, and ensure compliance with local labor laws. As an individual contributor, you will directly manage recruitment while also laying the groundwork for future team expansion. The role requires partnership with external agencies, leveraging HRIS tools such as Workday, and staying abreast of market dynamics, especially within the commodities trading sector.

      Requirements

You are degree-qualified with at least 10 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably within fast-paced, multinational environments. You bring a deep understanding of recruitment practices in Southeast Asia and are familiar with local employment regulations. Experience in the commodities industry and the ability to operate as an effective individual contributor are essential. Proficiency with Workday or similar HRIS platforms is also required. You thrive in dynamic settings and possess the agility to scale talent strategies in step with business growth.
