Description
This is a leading global energy trading company with a well-established presence in Singapore. The company is seeking to appoint a Trade Accountant to support its accounting and reporting function. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic trading environment within a lean and collaborative finance team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is your chance to contribute in a fast-paced and high-performing energy trading environment. As a Trade Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting key accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Additionally, you will be supporting tax computations and assisting with statutory reporting requirements. You will coordinate audits, document and enhance accounting processes, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Requirements
The successful candidate holds a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and has at least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in a trading or commodities environment. Big 4 audit experience is preferred. You are familiar with GAAP, proficient in SAP and Excel, and possess strong attention to detail. You are a reliable team player who can work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
