This is a leading global commodity trading firm with an impressive portfolio of assets and trading products. Due to expansion of its trading capabilities, the firm is now looking to hire a high calibre Trading Analyst for its Biofuels desk. This is an exciting role for a Trading analyst who wants to be at the heart of trading, shaping research, driving insights, and influencing strategy.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Analytics and Research, the Trading Analyst will play a significant role in product markets analysis for the biodiesel desk, ultimately to aid the traders in their trading strategies. Identifying market relationships and pricing anomalies will be crucial to providing insights and competitive advantage to traders. The role also involves analyzing trading ideas, producing supporting research, and fostering discussions across trading books, working collaboratively with analysts from other teams.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be degree holder in a finance, engineering, or a numerate discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in energy trading. Those with track record in supporting biofuel products will have a distinct advantage. Proficiencies in VBA, SQL, and/ or Python will be highly desirable. You will be described as highly analytical, commercially astute with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
