Responsibilities
The role involves managing the Global Insurance Programs for a group with worldwide operations across multiple entities. You will drive the annual renewal process for D&O and general insurance, collaborating with various internal stakeholders and leading discussions with insurance brokers and insurers to negotiate coverage enhancements and premiums. You’ll support the business in reviewing insurance clauses and make recommendations, as well as manage claims by guiding internal stakeholders through the process, assisting with documentation, and negotiating settlements. Additionally, you will conduct training sessions to share knowledge about insurance programs and act as a subject matter expert for daily operations, including issuing insurance certificates. Your responsibilities will also involve liaising with insurance brokers and insurers to resolve issues promptly, managing overall relationships, coordinating onsite surveys, and supporting treasury activities like cash management and risk management.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Business Administration and at least 5 years of experience in corporate insurance and risk management. Experience in managing relationships with multiple insurance brokers and handling global insurance in a multinational setting is essential. Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in corporate general insurance claims are required, along with successful risk survey experience. A solid understanding of Directors and Officers coverage and General Insurance, including underwriting, quoting, policy administration, and renewals, is necessary. Familiarity with Treasury operations is a plus. Additionally, you should be a results-oriented and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
