VP – CFD Operations
Description
We are engaged by a leading financial institution to identify a senior-level operations professional to lead its CFD (Contracts for Difference) Operations function.
Responsibilities
This Vice President role is instrumental in overseeing the full trade lifecycle and ensuring smooth operational performance for the firm’s CFD product line across global markets.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role requiring deep expertise in derivatives operations, a strong grasp of front-to-back trading processes, and the leadership ability to manage and evolve a complex operational function within a fast-moving environment. The VP will act as the key point of contact between trading, technology, compliance, risk, and middle office to ensure the firm’s CFD operations are robust, scalable, and compliant with global regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily trade capture, reconciliation, margin processes, client onboarding support, corporate actions, and break resolution. They will also play a strategic role in enhancing operational workflows, implementing automation initiatives, and driving continuous improvement projects in partnership with internal stakeholders and technology teams.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have significant experience-typically 10+ years-in capital markets operations, with specific expertise in CFDs or broader OTC derivatives. Experience in a global bank, broker-dealer, or trading firm is highly preferred. A solid understanding of margining, P&L attribution, regulatory reporting is essential.
