VP – Finance & Tax (Major Asset Management)
Our client, a leading asset management firm, is seeking an experienced VP, Finance and Tax to join their team.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for overseeing the group’s tax planning and compliance, as well as supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory obligations across assigned entities. The ideal candidate will bring a forward-thinking mindset and a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational landscape within the asset management industry.
In this role, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of tax, including strategy development, compliance filings, reporting, and stakeholder engagement with tax authorities and external service providers. In addition to tax responsibilities, the role includes ownership of financial reporting processes, with accountability for producing monthly financial statements, managing annual audits, and supporting internal budgeting and forecasting cycles.
This role also plays a key part in strengthening internal controls, identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems, and ensuring full regulatory compliance. The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and financial integrity.
Requirements
The ideal profile will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with CPA qualifications strongly preferred, and at least 12 years of progressive experience in a senior finance or tax role within an international or blue-chip financial institution. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset are essential for success in this role.
