VP Legal, Derivatives – Bank, 5+PQE

A top tier financial institution, our client is strengthening its markets with the hire of a derivatives lawyer. Part of a dynamic team which provides advice on a range of legal, regulatory and contentious matters, the role oversees FX, rates, derivatives, securitization and structured loans and products.

Applicants will need a strong interest in derivatives and should ideally have prior working knowledge of the financial regulatory regime in Singapore or Hong Kong. The ability to communicate effectively to build sustainable relationships is critical to succeeding in this role.

Successful candidates will possess:

• Ideally, Singapore qualifications and a minimum of 5PQE, gained with the banking practice of a top law firm or in-house.
• Possess a keen interest in global markets and/or some prior knowledge or experience in advising on structured products, ISDA or derivatives.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape in Singapore and Hong Kong.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment.
