General Manager, Retail (North Asia)

Our client is a leading retailer and there is now an exciting opportunity to join them as General Manager (GM) for North Asia based in Hong Kong (SAR). You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail operations in these regions. This role involves managing the P&L, sales growth, strategic development, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring operational excellence. The GM will lead a diverse team, implement strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of high performance across the markets.

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance market share and brand presence in the region. Identify growth opportunities, including new store openings, product launches, and partnerships. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all retail locations. Oversee the financial performance of retail operations in Hong Kong (SAR) and Macau. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Analyze financial statements and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements
To be successful for this role you will come with a minimum of 15 years of experience in retail management, with a focus on P&L responsibility. Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving operational performance. You would come with demonstrated success in leading a large category, managing a team and driving strong business outcomes. In addition, you are good at managing multiple stakeholders and effective working in a large matrix organisation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Knowledge of the retail landscape in Hong Kong and Macau is a plus.
