Client Due Diligence & Onboarding: AVP (Leading Private Bank)

We are working with a leading private bank to hire an experienced professional to support its Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) – Associate Director

This role focuses on ensuring strong client due diligence standards while partnering closely with Front Office teams to meet regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.

The role will be responsible for managing client onboarding activities, including the preparation and validation of Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, Source of Wealth (SoW) corroboration, and onboarding assessments for both new and existing clients. The candidate will conduct name screening and preliminary client risk assessments while liaising with Relationship Managers to ensure client information is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will also support periodic review processes by compiling client documentation, performing preliminary due diligence checks, and preparing transaction summaries for review. In addition, the role will assist with transaction monitoring alerts by gathering supporting documentation, validating information, and preparing initial responses while escalating any unusual activities or potential red flags where necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in private banking, particularly in AML/CFT compliance areas such as KYC, periodic reviews, and transaction monitoring. Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working closely with Front Office teams are important. A solid understanding of MAS Notice 626 and private banking compliance practices is preferred.
