Head of Infrastructure and Cloud

Our client is a large and complex enterprise undergoing a significant technology transformation journey. As part of its future-state operating model, the organisation is driving the standardisation of technology frameworks, governance, policies and operational processes across multiple business units and environments.

The organisation is also investing heavily in modern cloud platforms, automation and AI-enabled infrastructure capabilities to improve resilience, scalability, operational excellence and business agility. About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Infrastructure & Cloud to lead the transformation and modernisation of enterprise infrastructure services across a complex technology landscape. You will be responsible for defining and executing the infrastructure and cloud strategy, driving the adoption of standardised frameworks, policies and operating models, while modernising platforms through cloud, automation and AI-driven capabilities.

This is a highly visible leadership position requiring a strong change agent who can influence stakeholders across business and technology functions, build consensus, and drive sustainable organisational change. You will play a critical role in developing the roadmap for infrastructure transformation while ensuring operational stability, security and service excellence.

• Develop and execute the enterprise infrastructure and cloud strategy aligned with organisational objectives and long-term transformation goals.
• Lead the standardisation of infrastructure frameworks, governance models, policies, processes and operational controls across a diverse and complex environment.
• Establish a future-state infrastructure operating model that supports scalability, resilience, security and operational efficiency.
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption, optimisation and platform modernisation programs.
• Champion the adoption of AI, automation and intelligent operations capabilities to enhance service delivery, operational insights and productivity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders, technology leaders and business partners to drive alignment and influence strategic decision-making.
• Lead organisational change management efforts, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and accountability.
• Develop multi-year infrastructure roadmaps, investment strategies and capability uplift plans to support business growth and transformation objectives.
• Oversee infrastructure operations, ensuring high availability, performance, security, compliance and risk management standards are achieved.
• Lead and develop high-performing infrastructure, cloud and platform teams while strengthening organisational capabilities and succession pipelines.
• Manage strategic technology partners and vendors, ensuring value realisation and alignment to enterprise priorities.

• Extensive experience leading enterprise infrastructure and cloud functions within large, complex organisations.
• Proven success in delivering large-scale infrastructure transformation, modernisation and cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong track record of establishing governance frameworks, standardised processes and enterprise-wide operating models.
• Experience developing strategic technology roadmaps and translating business objectives into executable plans.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a transformation leader and change agent within complex stakeholder environments.
• Exceptional influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior executives constructively.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity, automation technologies and AI-enabled operations.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and managing large-scale technology budgets and vendor ecosystems.
• Relevant qualifications in technology, engineering or computer science, with cloud certifications viewed favourably.
