Procurement System Lead (SAP Ariba)

A leading organisation in Singapore is seeking a Procurement System Lead to drive the digital transformation of its procurement function. This is a senior role responsible for leading the implementation, optimisation and governance of SAP Ariba and related procurement systems. You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors and internal technology teams to deliver scalable, compliant and efficient solutions aligned to strategic objectives.

You will lead end-to-end delivery of SAP Ariba and related IT initiatives, overseeing scope, timelines, risks and budgets to ensure successful implementation. Acting as the system owner, you will manage integrations with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems, while ensuring alignment with internal policies, audit and security standards. The role requires close engagement with business users to gather requirements, translate them into functional solutions, and drive change management and user adoption.

You will oversee vendors and service providers to ensure contractual compliance and timely delivery, manage ongoing system support and enhancements, and lead troubleshooting and issue resolution. In addition, you will contribute to IT roadmaps, annual planning and prioritisation exercises, while mentoring project or support team members and optimising resource allocation.

You hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 10 years’ experience in the IT industry. This includes a minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience with SAP Ariba and at least 5 years in project management, with proven delivery of one or more full lifecycle, large-scale IT implementations.

Strong functional knowledge of SAP Ariba modules, as well as integration with SAP S/4HANA, is essential. Familiarity with procurement and finance business domains is required, alongside a solid understanding of IT methodologies, architecture and best practices. Exposure to procurement-related AI tools and PMP or SAP Activate certification would be advantageous.

You possess strong analytical and business process skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels. A proactive, self-driven approach and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within teams are key to success in this role.
