R&D Scientist (Protein Engineering) – Based in Singapore

Description

Our client, a food and agriculture ingredients company is hiring for an R&D Scientist. This is a newly created role based at their Research Centre in Singapore.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing research projects which will eventually lead to industrial application. You will research on and engineer enzymes with more superior properties or functionality that can replace traditional chemical processes in the food and oleochemical industries. This requires having a good understanding of structural biology of proteins or enzymes, able to engineer and optimize the enzymes and develop a high-throughput screening platform for screening these enzymes.

தேவைகள்

You must have a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Biochemistry or a related field. Prior research experience in protein or enzyme modification is required. Newly graduated PhD holders with the relevant background are welcome to apply. To be successful in this role, you are independent, driven, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You are also a good communicator and work well in a team.
